Forestry mulching vs bulldozer land clearing — which do I need?
Mulching wins when you want brush and trees gone but the ground left intact: no burn piles, no haul-off, no torn-up topsoil, and it's usually cheaper for selective or brush clearing. A dozer with grubbing wins when the roots have to come out — building pads, ponds, roads, or anything getting dirt work. Many projects use both: mulch the acreage, dozer the footprint.
